This was an easy choice for me. There are many celebrities deserving of my girl crushes but Scarlett Johannson gets this months' pick based on one simple movie she made and starred in. One called The Avengers. Have you heard of it? Yes you have. Have you seen it? Yes you have. She played The Black Widow and kicked all kinds of ass even though she was the lone female and with no super powers on a team heavily reliant on men and lots of firepower.
Now close your eyes and imagine if she had been played by Angelina Jolie. The character would not have been imbued with the humanity Scar Jo gave The Black Widow. No silly poses to show off her form and how much she trained for the role. The picture beneath this notwithstanding.
Add to this all the interviews and press she has made for the movie, and all the silly questions directed her way and answered with a sense of humor and intelligently.
